Doctor house call in Palma
Doc-Mallorca is a German- and English-speaking private house-call service in Palma — I am Henrik Venus, a licensed physician, and I come directly to your hotel, holiday rental or apartment, with no trip to a surgery, daily from 8 AM to 10 PM.
Palma is the island capital: old town, Passeig Marítim, cruise terminal and city hotels all sit close together. Guests who fall ill here rarely have time, and even more rarely a hire car. I come to you, examine and treat you on the spot, and issue a private invoice you can submit to your insurer.
Travel & service hours: From Port d'Andratx along the MA-1 and the city motorway into the centre — about 35 minutes. Many lanes in the old town are restricted to residents; please give the hotel name or exact address at first contact, and if you are a cruise passenger, the berth as well. Sharing your location by WhatsApp helps too. Service hours daily 8 AM–10 PM (Europe/Madrid).
All stated travel times are approximate driving times when available. A guaranteed arrival or response time is not possible — at the time of your request I may already be on another house call. In life-threatening emergencies always call 112.
I'm Henrik Venus, a German doctor, recognised and authorised to practise in Spain. I treat in German and English and call you back personally — no call centre, no waiting room.
Pricing: from €250 to €450. Not a substitute for the emergency physician (112) — in life-threatening emergencies always call 112.

What you want to know first.
Do you also come to hotels in Palma?
Yes. Palma is part of my regular service area — I come directly to your hotel room, holiday rental or apartment, with no need to visit a surgery. From my base in Port d'Andratx I am with you in about 35 minutes via the MA-1; usually I am there within 30–60 minutes. The same flat indicative fee applies as everywhere else in the service area: €250–350 on weekdays 8 AM–5 PM, €400 for an urgent request and €450 in the evening or at weekends — with no travel surcharge. I treat you personally: my name is Henrik Venus, I am a licensed physician and I treat in German and English. In an acute life-threatening emergency, always call 112 first.
I am a cruise passenger in Palma — is that possible too?
Yes, as long as the ship is in port. Please give the berth and your departure time at first contact — that determines whether a house call before you sail is realistic. If the window is too tight, I will say so on the phone rather than leave you waiting. The same flat indicative fee applies on board as on land. In an acute life-threatening emergency, always call 112 first.
How long does it take you to reach Palma?
About 35 minutes is the pure driving time once an appointment is agreed — from your first enquiry to treatment, expect 30–60 minutes. As a single doctor I cannot promise a guaranteed response time; I will always tell you honestly on the phone when I can be there.
Is there a 24-hour doctor in Palma?
For medical emergencies, the European emergency number 112 is available around the clock — free of charge, with English- and German-speaking support. For everything that isn't an emergency, you can request a visit online anytime; the German-speaking house call in Palma takes place daily between 8 am and 10 pm — directly at your hotel, finca or accommodation, with no waiting room.
How much does a house call in Palma cost?
Indicative: from €250 to €450. Private medical service in Spain — the final amount depends on time and complexity of the visit.
When does the service launch?
The house-call service is live. Appointments can be booked now — daily 8 AM–10 PM.
Will my travel health insurance cover the cost?
Travel health insurers often reimburse private medical house calls abroad — reimbursement is possible but not guaranteed. The exact amount depends on your policy; please check with your insurer before traveling.
Can patients with German statutory health insurance book too?
Yes. Doc-Mallorca is a private medical house-call service and I invoice privately — you receive a private invoice regardless of your insurance. Patients with German statutory health insurance can apply for reimbursement under § 13 (4) SGB V (possible, not guaranteed).
