When it makes sense
When an infusion is medically indicated.
A long journey, a hot day, lots of sun, a recent gastro-intestinal episode, physical exertion from hiking or cycling — where a doctor has established a fluid or electrolyte deficit, symptoms such as persistent fatigue, exhaustion, weakness, circulatory issues, nausea or volume depletion may be present. An intravenous therapy can — once a medical indication is established — provide relief. The indication is set by the licensed physician after history-taking and examination on site.
Indication and therapy decision are made by the physician on site after medical history and physical examination.
